Mom shouted, “Wake up! Wake up! It is 9 o’clock. It’s time for school.” The two little brothers were still lying in bed. Sleepily, they said, “Oh, Mom, no... It is Sunday.” Mom replied, “No, it is Friday. Go and get ready for school.” Ronny and Sunny, the twin brothers, were not willing to go to school, but they had to because their mother was very strict.

In the classroom, their teacher showed them an audio-visual presentation about space. When they came back home, they were delighted to see that their uncle had brought many toys for them.

At the dinner table, their uncle asked, “What are your future plans?” They replied, “We want to be astronauts.” Their uncle asked, “Why?” They said, “We want to know about every planet.” Their uncle was delighted and said, “Very good. Then you have to read more and more.” After dinner, they went to the balcony and looked at the sky. They thought about and remembered what they had learned in class.

Suddenly, Ronny said, “Oh my God! Oh my God! The rocket is moving at high speed!” Sunny said, “Bro, I am feeling afraid.” Then both said, “We want to go back home.” The astronaut said, “Don’t worry. Calm down. Don’t be afraid. We are in an indigenous rocket. We will soon land at the space station.” Then they became calm and quiet.

As they were travelling, they noticed some rocks. They asked, “What are these rocks?” The astronaut replied, “These are called asteroids.” Then they noticed some spheres and asked, “What are these spheres?” The astronaut said, “These are called planets.” They requested, “We want to visit every planet.” The astronaut said, “Okay.”

They asked again, “How were they made?” The astronaut said, “Listen, little friends. There is a story about the planets.” Long ago, the Sun was formed from a giant spinning cloud of gas and dust called the solar nebula. One day, a big rock came into close contact with the Sun, and pieces broke off. Some planets were formed from these pieces, while others were made of liquids and gases.

In the meantime, they landed on Mercury and saw a man coming toward them. They were surprised to see a human being on that planet. The man said, “I am from America. I have been researching whether there is any existence of life.” They asked, “What is the name of this planet?” The man replied, “This is Mercury.”

They said, “Please give us some water. We are thirsty.” The man said, “How can I give you water when there is no water on this planet?” They asked, “Why is there no water?” The man replied, “There is no water because it is the closest planet to the Sun, and the weather is scorching.”
They went to another planet and asked the astronaut, “What is the name of this planet?” He said, “Oh! You don’t know? It is called Venus.” There, they felt even hotter than on Mercury. They told the astronaut, “Please leave this place at once. It is so hot that we cannot stay here for even a second.” They ran to the rocket.

Their next destination was Mars. They thought, “We will get water here.” They requested, “Can you bring us some water? We are very thirsty.” The astronaut said, “No, there is no water.” Then they asked, “Why is there no water? Our Earth is full of water.” They also felt suffocated.

They told the astronaut, “Hey, friend, we forgot to bring oxygen masks. There is no oxygen. We must leave this place at once.” They ran to the rocket and wore oxygen masks.

As they were travelling, they saw another planet in space. It was very big. They became interested in landing on it. The astronaut said, “This planet is called Jupiter, and it is the largest planet in the solar system.” “What is the weather like on Jupiter?” they asked. The astronaut replied, “The weather is stormy here.” Suddenly, they said, “Look! Look! It has started raining.”

They rushed to the rocket and landed on Saturn. They saw that Saturn had many rings. They thought, “No other planet has rings like this! But this planet has seven rings!” They asked, “Can you explain why?” The astronaut said, “When you grow up, you will learn.”

“Then tell us, friend, what is the weather like here?” they asked again. The astronaut replied, “The weather is cold because it is farther from the Sun. It is colder than Jupiter, and there is no oxygen.”

They returned to their rocket and landed on Uranus. The astronaut said, “Little friends, do you know? This planet is the second coldest planet in the solar system.” They said, “Thank you, friend, for helping us understand the planets.”

At last, they went to Neptune, the last planet. They felt very cold and said, “Oh my God! Oh my God! It is so cold!” They asked the astronaut, “Why is it the coldest?” Their friend replied, “This planet is the farthest from the Sun, so naturally it is the coldest and most frigid planet.”

Then they said, “Please, let’s go to the Moon. You know, the Moon looks so beautiful from Earth at night.” From the Moon, they looked at Earth. They became afraid because one side of the Earth looked grey and the other green.

They thought anxiously, “Where would we live if the whole Earth became grey? We have visited every planet and found no existence of life. How could we survive if our Earth became like Mercury and the other planets?”

They hurried back to Earth and called an emergency meeting. They said, “We are at the mouth of death. To save ourselves, we must plant more trees.” They planted thousands of trees and cared for them regularly.

After a few years, they went to the Moon again and saw the whole Earth covered in greenery. It looked beautiful from the Moon. They were pleased and returned to Earth quickly. They said to the astronaut, “Thank you, friend. Goodbye!”

Suddenly, they heard an alarm. Their mother said, “Wake up! Wake up! It is time for school.” They woke up and asked, “Where are we, Mom?” Mom said, “Are you joking? Go and get ready for school.” Then they understood, “Oh, it was all a dream!”
